ULTRASOUND
Ultrasound employs harmless, inaudible soundwaves to evaluate the organs and soft tissues of the body. Our dedicated team od sonographers have extensive experience in a variety of specialties including obstetric, paediatric, musculoskeletal and vascular scanning. Together with our highly qualified and experienced radiologists, our sonography staff employ the latest in scanning technology to care for you.
The majority of ultrasound exams are bulk billed, however some studies may incur a small out of pocket fee as the sonographer performing them is highly specialised. Our obstetric sonographers have decades of experience, and have trained closely with obstetricians in major hospitals across Australia.
Many ultrasound appointment require preparation, so an appointment is always recommended. Some studies require you to be fasted, and others may require a full bladder. Our friendly reception staff will advise you of the recommended preparation when you make your appointment.
